Lemon Life (The Lifestyle) - Santa Cruz, CA is known for starting trends that sweep the nation, and since it was introduced at the 2014 San Francisco High Times Cannabis Cup, The Lemon Tree and the Lemon Life-style have been taking The Bay Area by storm. While the strain has been popular, the brand and clothing has taken on a life of it’s own due in no small part to the unique designs by artist Jimbo Phillips, son of the iconic Jim Phillips, who designed all the artwork for Santa Cruz Skateboards in the 70’s and 80’s and was the creator of the iconic “Screaming Hand” logo. After constantly selling out of physical merchandise at conventions, local skate and apparel shops, and word of mouth - we created Lemon Life to open up our unique brand to the world.
Jimbo Phillips (The Artwork) - Growing up in Santa Cruz, we here at LemonLife were surrounded with the iconic art of Jim Phillips plastered on skateboards, signposts, and surfboards around our town-- So when we wanted to start a brand that carried on the Santa Cruz tradition of blending our personal culture and that of the of the place that gave us our start we knew exactly who to turn to. Jim Phillip’s son, Jimbo Phillips, has not only carried the torch of his father's art but has further brightened its scope outward from Santa Cruz to illuminate all of the Greater Bay Area. Having done projects with elite companies like Nike and Toyota, hosting art shows in Europe, South America, and Canada-- as well as extensive work with local charity, “Grind Out Hunger"-- We are honored to have Jimbo Phillips constantly coming out with new and unique designs for our products.
